Kangaroo Island is the third biggest island in Australia and it’s situated in the south of Adelaide, South Australia. I got to spend four amazing days on this island.
Kangaroo Island not only offers amazing beaches and coast lines but also has a lot of amazing wildlife. Kangaroos, Koalas, Wallabies, Echidna, Possums, Goanna, Sea lions, Dolphines, … to mention just a view.
Nature is just so pure and beautiful on this island that you can just fall in love with it!
Seal Bay
Seal Bay is the only place in the world, where you can get really close to a wild colony of Australian Sea Lions, one of the rarest species in the world.
For me it was the first time that I got to see sea lions in their natural habitat. And for me, as an animal lover, it was such a wonderful experience!
Hanson Bay
One of the most beautiful beaches I have ever visited in my life! And the best thing … we had the beach for ourselfs! I could have really stayed a few days …
Wildlife
For sure we also saw also some kangaroos!
Caught a naughty little kangaroo poking it’s tongue out at me (haha).
Derbaywallaby – the smallest kangaroo on earth.
Sleepy koalas…
Flinders National Park
We read that at Flinders National Park is another sea lion colony (New Zealand Fur Seal). But it took us a while to spot them because they have nearly the same color as the rocks. Can you spot them?
Stokes Bay
The last night we camped at Stokes Bay and got to see a really pretty sunset at the beach.
